Betatronix delivers first ship-set to AVIC SAE in support of the COMAC C919 program
A global leader in the design, testing and manufacturing of precision electronic components, Betatronix are poised to finalize a multi-year contract with AVIC SAE to support flight deck input controls for the COMAC C919 commercial aircraft.

Farnborough, United Kingdom, July 18, 2014: For the past 16 months Betatronix had been working with the Aviation Industry Corporation of China, Shanghai Aviation Electric Co. (AVIC SAE) in an effort to provide a custom and reliable solution for their input control needs. Last month the culmination of this joint venture was realized. Betatronix delivered the first ship-set of hybrid input controls and is set to enter into a multi-year commitment with AVIC SAE pending first ship-set approval. Representatives from both organizations were present at the Farnborough Airshow to demonstrate the capabilities of these new components. These low weight input controls feature multifunction switching and signal processing capabilities in a rugged flight proven package.

“Opportunities to get into a project of this magnitude from the outset are few and far between” says Solutions Engineer Peter Smith. With a current backlog of 320 aircraft, COMAC (Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China) is set to bring to market an aircraft that has the potential to make vortices in a sector currently dominated by giants Airbus and Boeing.
